Requirements and guidelines for use

An environmental management system can be implemented by all organizations, regardless of their size or activities. An organization's compliance with the requirements of this standard shows that the organization manages the environmental impact of its activities, identifies potential environmental emergencies and implements pollution prevention methods. Compliance with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 may be relevant when participating in public procurement, which sets criteria for green procurement, in other public procurement, in order to demonstrate the organization's sustainable approach to the environmental impact of its activities.
